Styling Side moulding or Italy badge ?

I don't think Brad meant blue tack as a permanent fixture, just as a way of fixing them onto the car to see the how they look.

Cheers Tony - I was beginning to worry there for a minute !

Thanks for al your help today. Decision made............................

Side mouldings AND Italy badge!

Mrs G has a 1.4 BNW 1.4 Sport with side mouldings. It has a chequered insert to match the roof.

It has the chrome kit and the chrome mirrors. I have the A bar still in a box to glue on too. I was worried it may be a bit OTT but it seems to carry it off.

Oh and she then wanted the Italian badges on, but it still seems to get away with it.

A needs a good wash but I can post some pics if it helps.

I have also got a bag full of the moulding inserts including the Italian flag ones which I will list when I get the time this weekend - all free to good homes.

Eeek, I have the badge, moulding strip and the vertical italia stripes on my 500... let the criticism begin :(!

think maxis car looks absolutely spot on in that pic with the side strips and glad i specced them, for me its one or other

I had the italian stripe down the bonnet and on the roof on my last car and also along the side of the car and it worked with the black sport. There was a very divided opinion as to who liked it - 2 camps. Another car (a BNW) parked outside my house for a week with the same strip across the top of the car and it upset me - I thought a neighbour has copied me !
I have considered another bonnet strip to add a bit of dash to the new 500. Remember you wouldn't be able to park anywhere without been recognised :).

This is our 500 :) BNW 1.2 lounge with side rubbing strips and 16" multispokes. Personally I think the side rubbing strips looks good and really compliment the lines. If I were you I'd go for both, I've seen cars with the side rubbing strips and the Italian flag badge and it looks fine :)
I agree

My wife wanted the italia side stripes with side mouldings....I suggested no stripes, but get the wing badges....She got her way with the stripes.
However, to continue with the Italia theme, I asked my dealer to spec just the side mouldings without inset badge, then fit the italia inset badges....he agreed to get us the Italia ones for free and we just paid for the badgeless mouldings.
Decided not to overdo it with the wing badges in our case....but I think it would look great with side mouldings c/w integrated Italia badges and wind badges (no side stripes).

Tell you what I did buy tho...got this raised Italia colour sticky 500 badge of a famous auction site and stuck it on the back end near the Twinair badge (can't remember if it was above or below)....was only a few quid and looks nice.

So in a 'nutshell' - do you now have the side Italia stripes, badgeless mouldings and the italian badge on the rear hatch ?

Some have done the italia stripes on the side and the italian badges in the lower rear quarter panel but with no mouldings.

The side mouldings have Italia badges in them...the ones specifically for the side mouldings. The thing on the back just says 500 in italian flag colours. Then its just the side stripes.

This is a shot of our cinquecento cabrio just after delivery. As you can see, the side mouldings are missing their badges, because at the time our dealer was awaiting delivery. We have fitted the Italian tricolore with 500 script. You will also note that the front wing flanks have the tricolore badges too.
Hope this helps.
