This post is just to thank my buddy Si for helping me with fitting his old HGT filter onto my HLX... eventhough it doesn't fit....soon it will be...Si u understand.

I certainly wouldnt recommend to anyone doing it!!But the filter i have now sounds so AMAZING i'm well happy with it. Cant stop putting my foot down hehehehe.

Darn, there goes a possible s/s pipe customer.

I'll see if I can get some 85mm pipe.

All I can say is that polishing stainless is a bitch, its so HARD! Ally is easy, quick once over and then attack it with compound. s/s needs grading with about 5 different grades of abrasive pad first.

Tom,

I'm glad you've just mentioned ally as I have an ally intake pipe from throttle body to induction cone, it also houses my nitrous injector. Trouble is while installing it it picked up a few light scratchs, any advice on how to get rid of them and get the pipe nice and shiny again?

You don't wanna swap ur blue silicone hose for a nice shiny red one do ya?

Get a polishing kit from somewhere like machine mart, try on a scrap bit first. You might want to try with some 600 or 800 wet wet'n'dry first if the scratch is deep.
