I have owned my Bravo 1.8hlx for about 2 years now and I'm not to certain if I should keep the car or sell it and buy a HGT. When I bought the car it had 149500 on the clock and it was a 1997 on an R plate backed up with all its service history so I knew it was a good buy for the money. I dont mind the car but hate the fact that it is about as quick in first and secound as a snail that has been glued to the spot. it handles extremly well and in fact the only cars i can compare it to on that is my series 1 RS that had pro gas shocks and was dropped bout 40mm then the only car that is and always will be the best handerling hot hatch the monster Ren 5 GT Turbo the ultimate in my eyes for its day. So like I say Im happy with that part of it
But i have just recentle broken the 60000 mile mark and now u folks may shout at me for this my cam belt hasnt been done as of yet but thats down to funds and not having any
as soo as i can i will be having it changed so keep your fingers crossed for me please? but since braking the 60000 mile mark i have been thinking about buying somthing else its the longest i have owned a car as i was always buying and selling my cars on i know there are no probs with this car apart from my Cam Belt needing urgent looking at and I dont know if to keep going or try and buy somthing newer and faster but i have also been told that the HGT isnt that fast considering it has 5 cyclinders and is 20v 2 litre engine! please help as i will hopefully have sold my house and I will have had the Cam Belt changed and then can look at ether just sticking to what i have or can go and buy somthing newer any advise will be really welcome so tell me what you think please
