Hi guys,

I've just been down quick fit to get a new tyre and my tracking done. While the car was up on the ramp i took the oppertunity to have a good root around under the car. I found two things which bothered me...

1). While the engine was on a fair amount of fluid was coming out of my exhaust. We're talking about 50ml a minute.

2). There is a severed wire hanging down by my passenger side front wheel. I couldn't see where it was supposed to go but I did check whether it had a counterpart on the other side and there wasn't one. See below picture:

Anyone any idea what it is?

What's your coolant level looking like?

As for the wire, I take it everything works as normal? Fan, fog lights (if fitted) etc. They are the only things I can think of that are that long in that area.

Coolant level is fine, hasn't gone down at all since I last checked it.

Fan and everything I can think of works fine - haven't got fog lights but the wire for that is further forward and clipped to the inside of my bumper.

If the coolant level isn't going down then it's nothing to worry about. Must just be condensation.

Not too sure about the wire then. Does it have an alarm?

Fair enough...

As for the wire, no alarm - i'm wondering how many brake pad level sensors a bravo has? If it only has one, and the sensor wire came adrift - would the warning light come on?

Looks like the brake pad wear sensor to me.

Cheers guys, I wonder how it got torn out of its connector end! I'll have to nip down the garage and get them to reattach it sometime.

Thanks for all the replies.
