severe weather warning.....

Im sick of the weather now! college has been canceled again next week as staff levels at the hosp are low. all the staff that have 4x4's have had to inform senior managers so they can be told to go and pick people up, some people stayed in the canteen last week and apparently were on level 3, which is bad, its one before a major incident

We're having severe weather tomorrow :D

I got this email from the uni
Monday 11/01/10 has been declared a CODE RED (CATASTROPHIC) day in parts of VICTORIA. UB staff and students are instructed NOT TO ATTEND any University campus in the Wimmera District (ie. Horsham, Stawell or Longerenong).
so uni is closed, and were heading for a top of 43° tomorrow (today) Its 0110 right now, and 24.2°C with 47% humidity.

Lightweights! Back in the summer 2006 I was over in Palm Springs in California. Temps touched 50 degrees and life still went on. Here's a pic of one of the cooler days ;)

Yeah, 50 is warm...
The Code Red thingy is to do with Bushfire threat level, it means that tomorrows conditions are on par with the day last year that the big fires started

I was in vegas either that summer or the one before, all of the busses on the strip kept breaking down. It was that hot that you didnt get wet from sweat you just excreted pure salt.

Edit:- Was that the year that europe had the big heatwave if so then i was in Italy and that was pushing 50 degrees some days.

I think it was. I have a habit of leaving the UK just as it finally gets some summer. In 2008, for the first year ever, I decided to stay at home for the summer and we didn't get one  What I remember most of summer 2006 was attending my end of year college presentation day at 8pm on July the 13th, then at at 7am the following morning I was on a plane leaving the UK for 2.5 months and heading to California and Arizona!
