What is the right way to say Abarth. My mate and I have a difference of opinion

I say it's Abarth with the 'A' said like in 'apple'

He's says it like the 'A' in 'Acorn'

Stupid but help will solve an argument :):)
 
Have you ever met anybody British who says tomato?

NB: I was going to leave it like that but better add "tomateo"
