Hi have just joined so it probable this question has been asked tho I can't find it . [ takes a while to navigate new forums]
Question-- Does anyone know why Fiat have a 1yearly service interval or 40,000km. at an approx. cost of £230 where as Peugeot same engine has a 40000km or 2yearly service at approx. £170. Main dealer quotes.
Ducato 3.0 multijet.

Thanks Alex.

Hi T14086 thanks for reply tho money is always an issue it is not (in my case the overiding factor ) I was only wondering if there was a reason for the price dif. from 2 main agents is it Fiats rec. service pricing policy.? The main query I have is as both engines are the same why is Fiat 1 yearly service & Peugeot 2 yearly?

Thanks Alex.
Ps. I'm very happy with van.

I am not aware the peugeot recommend 2 year services(I have not seen peugeot service sheets).Personally I would go to Fiat for at least the first service due to updates & the many recalls there are on this vehicle.

Hi T14086 I do have it booked in at Fiat garage for service & recalls but still bugs me that I can't find anyone to answer why a YEAR difference on service schedule for the same engine. Must be getting a grumpy old man.

Cheers Alex.

Hi,
As I own a Boxer I can confirm that the service period is 2 years as Alex says I cannot understand the differance when the engines are identical. Funny enough when mine had its two year sevice it was done at a garage that is both Fiat and Peugeot, so it would have been interesting what they would have had to say on the matter.
regards
Stewart
