Hi All,

18 months ago I had a big problem where my Stilo started crunching into gear and then stopped changing all together. It had a recondition pump, then a new accumulator and finally a replacement gearbox and new clutch fitted. It's all been working well since, until I went to drive it this weekend and it refused to select a gear. I'd only been driving it an hour or so before with no problems! I tried a new battery, as I know the Stilo abarth can be a bit sensitive to low batteries, but if anything that's made things worse (getting ESP and ASR messages)!

Anyone have any idea what it could be? I can't hear the pump prime when I open the door which makes me think it's that but it was only reconditioned a year and a half ago. https://cdn-i.fiatforum.com/images/smilies/mad.gif

Yes checked the fluid which all looks ok. Haven't been able to plug it in to a ODB reader, will it show up gearbox faults?

Thanks varescrazy, looks like a very impressive bit of kit, especially useful come service time. Think it's going to be the way to go.

Got multiecuscan and attached it to the car. It came up with this error and message:

P1773 - Selespeed Electric Pump
The reason for the fault is that the ECU has received a very high signal from the sensor.

I cleared it off and the gearbox started working again (just parked on the drive) but later stopped and came up with the same error. I had the pump rebuilt and replaced about 18 months ago so hoping it's not that. Any idea which sensor it's talking about?

Sounds like this could be the sensor on the actuator giving a faulty reading, before I pull it apart are there any other sensors it could be? Thanks
