Hi guys, new to the Fiat world.
Just picked up a W Reg Seicento Sporting, took it for its MOT and it failed on a power steering fault. It seems like the steering works fine however its sending a fault on the diagnosis, I assume.

Has anyone had this before?/changed the motor? not sure how to get to it as its behind the dash board, does the whole dash have to come out? etc.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies if this has already been covered.
Thanks
Jack

Hi Jack, and welcome to FF:)

MOT fail - the RED warning light must've been showing;

could be basic power supply issue, battery / alternator ..main earth cable breaking down,
or look here ;

Hi Charlie, thanks for the quick response!

I replaced the battery a few days ago, and the alternator looks brand new! I will look into the earthing later today.
I was advised to get a new motor from the MOT garage, don't suppose they'd know any better though.

Jack ,
IF the light is on it SHOULD store a fault code.. getting that code read will point in the direction of work required,
