Hi, Starts fine warms up then after a while the power drops off no accleration and seems very much like fuel starvation. Switch off resets restarts fine and can go another mile or two before it happens again. I'm guessing ECU? 62,000 miles 25 years old common fault? Or any cheaper solutions? If ECU any recommendations (I was told recently there is a good alternative) its a 1.1 mpi Micheal Schumacher version. Many thanks for any help information.

Not just the cable needs to in good nick but both end connections to the metalwork, can cause all sorts of problems, so worth just checking both ends
