Hi all , I have a 2003 mpi seicento and the cooling fan only kicks in when I disconnect the green temp sensor plug , I went online and bought a new sensor just a shot in the dark and today I emptied the coolent and also removed the sensor housing only to find I should have bought the whole housing, I’m just wondering can I switch it out by removing the plastic tabs or am I stuck ? For all I know the one I took out could be working I’m just working through possible faults , so if I can’t put my new sensor into it il just put it back in as is for now, would anybody know if I could chance screwing it out and replacing with new one ?

Ok I think Ive read up enough here to see it’s not a screw in sensor in that part so if you are new to Seicentos and have after 2001 mpi you need to buy the big one with sensor already in plastic housing , think will just put it back in , it’s sunday and can’t get one today ,and flush everything out and put in new coolent and try and bleed properly for now
