General Seicento headrest adjustment/modification?

there is no need for cutting or anything to take the fron headrests out. simply pull them up as high as they will go then pull them really hard but keep it even and they will pull off. simple ! il take a pic of anyone wants

After reading that I just gave it a go.....no way! :D I pulled evenly, as hard as i could, hooked my arm under and pulled even harder...nearly gave myself a hernia......maybe yours are broken already :p

You can pull the trim down to expose some of the mechanism, but i couldn't see anything obvoius to release them.

See my post a little further up. The metal posts are held in metal tubes with a pair of spring clips, to get to these you need to get inside the seat, to do this you have to remove the seat cover from the bottom.

seriously you have to give it a quick really hard tug i have taken mine off before when i washed the seat covers. the clips are perfect in mine. im going downstairs to do a little video for you guys and some pics.

:D nope i pulled and there still there also tool my seat out and really give it some welly but there stopping on!

:idea:i suppose i could just strip the seat while its out thou

sorry guys ive just realised i never put the pics up but here goes.

seriosuly theres nothing that holds these in place as you will see when you remove them you simply have to pul but make it fast and hard and they will pop straight out.

heres the pictures to prove this works. i have shown the retaining clips to show that im not blagging lol(y)

hmmmmm

Anyone else tried this yet? Can't seem to get mine out :bang:

Still having issues getting mine to play ball - really wanna swop em for the older style (abarth ones dyed black of course ;) ) but they just don't wanna come off.

Any luck with that video?

lol well, I can't take mine off either and I don't want to force them out... I think I could do it once on my SX... I needed extra room for some long shelves... will try in a few weeks when I take it out of storage.

Seems like a rare case here.

Throwing some suggestions out of why the seat is possibly like this

Possibilty of previous damage to sei rorys seat, or perhaps prev owners of sei rorys car had neck problems or an so instructed from new for the headrests to have the ability of easy removal and not lock like the rest of us???????
