yep, in middle behind a small plastic cover, you can stick your hand over the plastic cover and feel the top of it has a push button, push that down and it resets the cut off...

Or just check for earth at the fuel pump, if you have an earth there its not the inertia switch as that works by cutting the earth to the pump.

On MPI's the LCD display shows FPS if it's been activated, so either the switch needs resetting or the switch or wiring has a fault.

Hi man. I got in to same trouble today. My seicento 1.1l 2001 refused to start this morning. So I called a friend to jumpstart a car but it want. And then I notice that failure code on the little display where clock is. "FPS on" I have found that switch under plastic grey cover just under the radio bolted to firewall. Reset the bloody think and nothing have happend. Car still want start. Now I cant see nothing on display at all. Like battery is flat so I have put it on charger for tonight. And will se tomorrow. I hope is nothing worst because it was doing very funny noises like relay clicking, buzzing and so....

I even took the f...n switch a part but it seems like prety simple device and I cant see enything wrong with it.

unfortunetaly dont have a photo of exact location where it is in the car it was too dark for phone camera .... Sorry for multiple post ... Iam not very good at it ;)

If the car suddenly throws up a FPS fault for no apparent reason it's either the fps unit or a wiring loom issue.
First you need to sort out the flat battery issue (it causes the relays to 'chatter' etc) then we can go from there.
Chances are your problems are related to damaged wiring &/or damp in the electrics. (unless of course the weather in Eire is now more like the Bahamas than it was when i went there).

Here is the location. And that grey plastic cover. I HAVE recharged battery and car started. Job done
