Hi,
The handbrake lever button is stuck in on my girlfriend's seicento (SX, 2000 X plate) which I'm guessing is going to be an MOT failure. IS there an easy way of popping it back out and, more to the point, is it likely to just fall back in the next time it's used? I'm thinking tap a small screw into the face of the button and pull it out if I can't get it to pop out with a spring hook or skinny screwdriver.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ewan.

It is the cover that is stopping it - had the same trouble with mine. Just pull the cover (where you grip to pull the handbrake) as far down as you can (away from the button) and eventually the button will pop out. You might have to slightly twist the grip to move it, its on very tightly.

Nice ressurection!

I hope it was sorted nearly a year and a half ago.

Cheers
