hi guys.....just taxed my first Seicento sporting '99.
Lovely.
I was wondering how much time/effort it would be to get a 16v head to fit....as i remember driving a 1.1 16v bravo (i think) and thining it was great for a 1.1..............
is it as simple as a head swap and fiddle....or am i being dense?
Could the gurus of cento point me in the right direction...?

It may fit, but you have to mess with ... of the top of my head:

Cam belt length (the block is shorter)
Enigine managment (16v head are mpi / mapping also)
Exhaust manifold won't fit...you will need a 16V one, which is longer and will hang lower under the engine....it may also not mate up with the existing exhaust

The pistons may travel too far up the stoke and hit the valves

plus probably loads of other bits.

Give ti a bash though! Sounds a good idea....or just drop a 1.2/1.4 16V in ;)

it would've been a 1.2 16v

you got the hassle of swapping manifolds etc as well, looking at fueling (the 16v will be a dry flow manifold, and so will need injectors near the ports).

in short, not worth the hassle. tbh i wouldn't expect any gains from it.
