It was today announced by Fiat UK that the Sedici Series 2 model range will be available to customers from 1st September 2009.

Customers can choose from three versions, two engines and two trim levels as follows:

1.6 16v Dynamic 4x2
1.6 16v Dynamic 4x4
2.0 16v MultiJet 135 Eleganza 4x4

Product Changes vs current Sedici

Sedici Series 2 will benefit from a range of styling enhancements including:

Exterior

Revised front bumpers and grill arrangement

Silver coloured trim finishing surrounds on front fog-lights

New 16” alloy wheel design (standard on Eleganza & optional on Dynamic trim)

Interior

Updated instrument panel design

Backlit steering wheel controls for audio and headlight adjustment settings

New seat upholstery available on the Eleganza trim

New centre speaker enhancing audio system sound quality

New digital climate control display on Eleganza trim

Engines

The main changes to the Sedici range come in the form of two new engines; a 2.0 16v Multijet 135 with DPF and a petrol 1.6 16v 120, both of which are Euro V emissions standard compliant.

In addition, both engines benefit from considerable reductions in CO2 emissions over pre-facelift units which result in annual VED savings of £25-£50 dependent on version.

Colours

Two new colours have been added to the range – one Metallic (Epic Grey) and one Pearlescent (White Water Pearl). Live Blue has been deleted from the current range. Eleganza trim now comes with Perforated Brown Cloth instead of grey.

Standard Equipment

Sedici Series 2 will continue to offer the same rich content as the current Sedici with items such as air conditioning and front fogs lights standard on the Dynamic trim. Eleganza trim will take comfort levels even further with standard items such as automatic climate control and leather trimmed steering wheel with audio controls.

Options

The range of options on Sedici Series 2 remains as per current Sedici apart from the addition of pearlescent paint.

Pricing

1.6 16v Dynamic 4x2 - £11,595
1.6 16v Dynamic 4x4 - £13,295
2.0 16v Multijet Eleganza 4x4 - £15,895

Logistics

There are 30 launch stock vehicles available to call off from September 1st. All cars are 1.6 Dynamic 4x2 specification with the following options - Alloy Wheels, Dark Tinted Rear Windows and Metallic Paint - at additional cost.

Sedici Series 2 will only be available to order centrally via Vehicle Supply for sold customer orders only.

The order to supply time frame for factory orders is approximately 5-6 months!

Brochures and website

Fiat are currently re-printing amended brochures for Sedici Series 2 and they will be available shortly. Their website, www.fiat.co.uk, will be updated to show the Series 2 Sedici from mid September.

"Sedici Series 2 will only be available to order centrally via Vehicle Supply for sold customer orders only"

An interesting update. Does "only available to order" mean that the Sedici will go with the way of the Croma in the UK?

It means that Fiat will not be centrally ordering any, so if somebody wants one there will not be any In Production/In Transit/at Portbury/at a dealer that they can pick from, they will literally have to place a fresh factory order (which will take 5-6 months) for one.

What that says to me is that Fiat are keeping it in the range in case anyone wants one, but they aren't really bothered if it doesn't sell as they buy them on an as-and-when basis from Suzuki.

Sorry to go slightly OT but is the Croma facelift still available to order - I know it's not available generally but can it be ordered?

I think FIAT are missing a trick here. With this winter - "global warming"- (scam) 4x4's are going to sell like hot cakes next year. The 4x4 with the 135bhp jtd looks a very sensible buy, if it is built to good standards . Can they do that in Hungary ?

Theyre not gonna find many buyers by making them wait 5-6 months for one! Fiat really do some stupid things at times and this is one of them. If they'd advertised the car in the first place then it wouldve been far more popular - there are loads of SX4s around near me so there's obviously no shortage of buyers, it's just Fiat UK and their sh*te advertising as usual.

The Croma never got advertised, the Sedici never gets advertised, the Bravo gets advertised in magazines but hardly gets any air time on TV, the Qubo, Doblo & Multipla similarly.

Surely the old Citroen Xsara shows you can sell anything if you advertise it & price it keenly, how i can recognise it but the marketting bods at Fiat UK can't, really baffles me!

Noticed from Fiat UK's website that the Sedici has now been removed. Seems the new facelifted version was not on sale for long in the UK, sales must have been poor. Still, it makes my Sedici even more of a rarity on UK roads.

Has anyone actually bought or even seen a Series 2 Sedici in the UK?
Its on the FIAT website now but does not show on the Showroom homepage?
Theres none still on Autotrader - would have thought maybe an ex-Demo might have popped up by now?

I saw one on AutoTrader a couple of weeks ago. It was a dark blue one at Thames Fiat in Slough. Appears it's sold  ;)

I'd be interested to see one as the wife would definately have another..........
Saw my first Sedici with Leather on Pistonheads too!

Anyone know why Fiat UK don't have the Sedici on their Showroom front page?
Is it special order only now?

Your question has already been answered in this thread...

You can still 'Explore' the Sedici on fiat.co.uk but can't configure it. It's a pity the website doesn't say 'please contact Fiat UK for further info about this model' or something similar, as what they currently show makes no sense to people who havn't read this forum.

Just reviving this to say there are three Series 2 Sedici (Facelifted nose and dash) on Autotrader now - seems the final UK Demo's are filtering on to the used market. Sadly all just Dynamics' (we would be interested in an Eleganza if anyone knows of one!)......

Just a BUMP for this one - we're seriously considering changing our Sedici for a series 2 (Facelifted nose and dash) - post 2009.... I've seen around 8 or so on the market since my previous post but all are Dynamics. Has anyone seen a facelifted Eleganza? Did they actually import any?!!!

Mine is a low mileage 07 model, bought it early last year, and had to travel nearly 200 miles to buy it.

I hardly ever see this model on the road, let alone for sale. I am off to the Swiss Alps mid February and at present preparing her for the journey.
