Sedici - diesel or petrol?

Hi all,
New to the forum and cant seem to post this question in the Sedici forum,
The other half wants a Sedici and we have our eyes on a 2008 Dynamic 1.6 petrol 2WD version showing 50000 miles, the other being a 2006 Dynamic 1.9 jtd with 74000 miles each one for £3000 both have full MOTs and full service history, the diesel also just had new cambelt kit fitted, the Sedici will be mainly used for the school run which is two daily 10 mile round trips mainly on hilly back roads down here in Devon but also for shopping trips etc. Our last car was a Renault Scenic Conquest 1.9 dci 130bhp and we like the grunt of Diesels and I would appreciate any advice on pros and cons of the above engines and your personal preferences from your own experiences. cheers

Hi,
I suspect you've now manged to post in the Sedici section,

personally I would stick with diesel, as you're used to it,

it's a well sorted engine and you should be doing enough miles to be beneficial.. no DPF..?? could be a good thing if not a standard fitment.. (= new MOT rules!!)
