While since I posted on here but now am back in the fold with a 500X 1.3 diesel. what leads are recommended to reset the oil service etc? I presume that Multiecuscan wont reset these????????? TIA

The SGW didn't seem to be rolled out on everything at once
Worth trying the MES and "scan for devices",

For the 1.3 Multijet for Service Reset no additional adapters are required. Just a genuine (not Chinese rubbish) ELM Interface. I prefer OBDLINK SX interface. If you want to cover all systems then A5 and A6 are also required.
What year is your 500X 1.3 Multijet? I doubt it has an SGW installed, but even if it does then you can get a bypass cable.
Personally I recommend Gendan for MES, cables and other diagnostic kit. The other UK approved distributor is BMDiag. Both are authorised/recommended distributors. Others have bought off eBay and other places with no problems but it can be a lottery.

Hi, It's a 2018 model. registered in August.
There’s no SGW on that year 500x, in fact, as it was already planned to replace the model (along with the Renegade, originally slated 2020 but went on longer for 500x) they never bothered upto at least 2020
