Seagate GoFlex USB 3.0 External Hard drive.

Hi All,

Just bought this as was in desperate need of some backup device (I didn't buy from this link I bought from comet - something which I very, very rarely do but the price was ok):

Just curious, the storage device comes with a usb 3.0 cable but when connecting to the usb 3.0 ports on my computer, the device is not picked up at all - though the power light is illuminated.

Usb 2.0 works fine.

Can't find anything on google, all the problem I found were regarding usb 3.0 ceasing to function after working correctly previously

Any ideas?

Have you installed all the current USB3.0 drivers for your motherboard?

I don't think any versions of windows automatically recognise it

b0llocks. First thing I should have done. It's backing up now but will try that tonight, expect another reply if it still doesn't work
