Hi not long had my scudo and need to sort out the speakers..the drivers door speaker is not working, no idea why, any ideas? What sizes are the speakers and can any one recommend replacements. Id like better bass and general sound quality without going to wild. Thanks

I'm not sure on size but you will only really make an improvment if you add an external amp. It will be easier to recoment equipment when we know what budget you have allowed.

As for the broken speaker. I have seen many a car where the owner has sold it has been sold without lol.

ok, give me some figures on external amps/setups

dunno about the new shape ones but the 96-06 ones are 6.5" speakers in the door, and the doors really need some sound deadening in them. a bit of speaker wadding behind them improves the mid bass a bit too for very little money. I used Fli integrator coaxes at £25 and they sounded great off a decent head unit, the standard one has nowhere near enough power. an amp with a high pass filter is an even better option with a cheap sub for the low notes and thats the direction I'll be going with my next scudo.

You really can spend as much as you want. About £200-£300 would be a good start for a set of half decent comps and an amp.
If you have time and research on good makes to buy you can get it cheaper second hand by scouring ebay.
