Hi, I have bought a Scudo on a 56 plate, great condition, but high mileage (183000). It is the 2.0 JTD. Goes great on the flat, but seems really underpowered on hills, picks up when the turbo kicks in. I carry no weight in the van. Just had the cambelt waterpump and a service carried out at my local garage, and even they commented on her being a little sluggish. They wanted to put it on a diagnostic machine, to create another bill! The previous owner was very fussy about oil changes and maintainence, and the miles were mainly done by him on the motorway, and he said it was no racing car! Surely a 2.0 turbo should go better than this? Never had one of these, so I have no idea, of what they are supposed to be like. Any suggestions, gratefully taken on board
Thanks in advance

My 2.0 JDT (SX, window van) goes like stink. It'll whizz up to 90 just like that (202,000 miles). The only time it's had a problem so far with performance was when a turbo hose blew, performance was then painful, but symptoms of the fault were easy to see - black smoke and poor fuel consumption.

Thanks guys, will look at the MAF. Would it be worth looking at the EGR? I have no warning lights and no smoke?

Try a code reader see if any come up your eml light bulb might be blown

Ok, thanks for all the replys, will try a Maf sensor first and see how we go. Will let you know how I get on
Cheers

Happy Days, ordered up a new maf sensor from ebay £30, fitted to my van this afternoon, and the difference in performance is amazing, yet the old maf looked ok and clean. Thanks for the advice, now I have a happy van
