Ah.. punto door cards are easy! Finding an intact, not dented Marea boot lid is torture. Most scrappies don't know what a Marea is never mind keeping hold of one and not denting the panels to a state worse than what we're trying to replace!
theres 3 or 4 marea wkd'ers in my local.
all side or front end done in.
two 20v wkders
one 20v saloon
and a 1.6 wkder
there may be another, but can't remember what it was.
oh and the 20v saloon has the wooden interior!!!
tis nice
when i was trying to find a marea hlx to take the poly headlights from it was scary how few places knew what one was.
and then most the places that actually had a marea said it was "definately an hlx mate" but when i got there it wasnt every time. i wasted loads of petrol and time. in the end i had to give up and get one of the lights off ebay.
then there was my attempt to get a marea centre console that wasnt beige (finally got it now). the first 2 places that said they had one actually had a brava. after arriving i quizzed them about this, and both places said they're the same thing. WTF is wrong with this world!!
thankfully the people at Bell's Breakers in Bishop Aukland and Sunderland Metals both know what a marea is, what a HLX model is and even know what the colour grey is. Brunton's Autos in Annfield Plain dont know the difference between beige and grey, in fact they tried to tell me a console was grey when it was obviously beige. DUH!! its a 40minute drive away, i wish i could charge people for petrol and for wasting my time, the whole point of ringing is to save time and petrol.
I was paked at work next to a Seicento yesterday.. Not got a tape out but if they made a Sei cabriolet I reckon it would fit in the Marea's boot! It takes parking next to a small car to really remind yourself how long the Weekend is!
