Does anyone know what type of lcd screen is used on the Stilo??
I am wondering if it's PAL and therefore 'could' be linked up to a portable DVD player ???
Also is the cd player MP3 compatible ???

Thanks

It's a TFT screen, but unfortunately there's no line-in facility to link it to a DVD or other device.

The CD player in the Connect Nav+ will play MP3s - the autochanger will not, however.

The Connect system comes with a card into which you place a standard mobile phone sim. The card then slots into the console. The phone part of the system uses the stereo speakers and a built in microphone. It's probably advisable to buy a pay as you go sim pack (That's what I did) as it's a real pain swapping the sim from the phone to car and back again.

thanks jonny,

so i take it you have one 'car' number and one mobile number? which is a bit of a pain also. perhaps a way around it is when in the car to divert 'mobile' calls to the car phone number?
or am i way of track?

Yep! That's the easy solution. I also have my answering service set up to give out the relevant number as well.

Some providers, O2 being one, are looking at dual SIM cards i.e. two SIM cards but one number meaning that you can keep a SIM in your phone and one in the car.

I am reliably informed that Vodaphone have a little-known option known as "Vodaphone Multi-Sim" which is exactly what you're after. You can have, I believe, up to 7 SIM cards all with the same number but only one is user-set to ring. It's the ideal solution for the phone in the Stilo.

Myself, I'm on Orange so this doesn't work for me - I have a Virgin Mobile SIM in my Stilo and it works just fine. Yes, two numbers but you could always set diverts if you wished (albeit an expensive way of doing it).

I have orange sim and do a talk share where both numbers come on same bill. If you dial 330 on handset you get automated divert line which according to orange is free to divert to another orange number as opposed to having to pay if done from phones divert menu. Still waiting for first bill to find out if true.

I'm from the Netherlands, and Vodafone over here offers a 'dual sim', wich means 2 sim cards with the same number. On in my car, other one in my mobile. Just have to make sure not to have them both turned on at the same time, or things can get rather confusing ;-)
