satnav cd's

hi all, I have an 02 Stilo jtd Dynamic with built in satnav (navtec).
We have just been invited out to visit some friends who have recently moved to Italy and intend to drive out at the end of September.
Can anyone help with european mapping discs (france & italy) ? I know I can get them direct from navtec but they are eyewateringly expensive for a one time trip.
