okay so ive fitted a via sata card to my PC.
now xp doesnt seem to happy about it.
it finds it but doesnt seem to quite recognise it and wont install a driver.
in the end i have to manually install the driver.
on reboot its slows down the boot time and once into XP device manger shows the device couldnt start(error code 10)
ive swapped it to different PCI slots with no change.
once i got a PCI error on boot and had to remove the card and reboot?
ive uninstalled and swapped slots a few times
i want to use the card for 360 drive flashing but its not detecting the drive under DOS as it should so i assume the XP issue affects this?
i dont actually have any spare sata drives to test the card under xp
any ideas?
