Dragging my old fossil of a body into the 21st century, I'm considering getting a SatNav in anticipation of several longish trips around our more salubrious touristy areas in the coming weeks/months.

I'm au fait with the fact that I can probably power the thing from the cigarette lighter, but what about the audio connection?

I have a 1.2 Active 8V of 2004 vintage equipped with the bog standard Blaupunkt radio/cassette. I'm guessing I'll have to somehow tap into the speaker connectors at the back of the radio?

Any guiding remarks, advice or 'I've done that, this is how you do it' would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm assuming you are buying a satnav that attaches to your windscreen with a suction cup and a lead that runs down to your ciggy lighter, if this is the case then satnav's have built in speakers so no need to connect to your audio system
