While working in tenterden,Kent today, i pulled up a customers house behind a V reg heraldic blue Bravo GT.Seeing algae on it,i thought id do some investigating :) After speaking to my customer, i found out its owner has just left it,and its getting towed away next week to a scrappy!Has 4 MINT HLX/GT wheels on it.How can an injustice like this happen!!!! And on a similar note, who can claim ownership of an abandoned car? :)

easy to do if there is no finance / loans on it

apply to dvla for a log book , (local post office for form)
change locks/ecu
job done

how about gettin in touch wiv dvla tellin them a car has been dumped and u want to get in touch with the owner? would they not give you their details?

Not sure if they'd have registered the car?Would have thought they'd want to speak with them with regarding road tax?It was'nt in great nick tho, dent on either side rear quater panel. But front/rear bumper, bonnet mirrors, wheels, dash all mint.Might find what scrappy its going to next week

if you go on the dvla website you can type in the reg, see if its taxed etc or even do that text thing to see if its insured then do what the above post stated about post office etc

when you apply for the logbook , dvla notify the owner that someone has applied to register the car,

in this case you say the car has been abandand therefor they will not care/ or know for that matter.

the previous owner will not reply so therefor you are the new keeper
tax / mot an your away
