General Rusty Engine Block!?!

Was preparing to tuck the Barchetta up for the winter (cost so much to insure that it’s just not worth it)

And while having a look underneath the car, I saw this….

(I think I’ve managed to attach pics…)

I’m a bit of a mechanical numpty so have no idea how serious this is, but it scared me rather a lot I must admit what do we think guys?

No problem at all. It's just surface rust.
Just make sure you get those oil cooler lines rust free.
A bit of sandpaper and some zink would be fine.

as they will rust through, it's some money to replace them

Although you might not like the look of the rust it does no harm at all. An added bonus to a rusty block is that there are clearly no oil leaks!
