spresso gaskets are the way to go.... much better than the fiat ones (y)

ive got a head gasket set, its the bottom end gaskets i need.

aaron that site lists everything bar the 176.B4 which is what mine is!

the place that does the machining should be able to get the gaskets and rings etc for you. i know the place near me does anyway.

got a payden set including bolts of ebay for about £20-£30 not long ago

shouldn,t have sanded it like that mate...but anyway...i would cover the rusty **** with oil...and try turning it over...if it turns over easy...then do it!
nowt to lose but everything to gain!!!

Nothing to loose.. yeah, apart from the time it takes, the £25 worth of oil, £45 worth of gasket, and then spitting oil down the exhaust and drowning the cat :rolleyes: ;)

Surely he meant turning it over by hand and not in situ?

yeah, but even if it turns over by hand - i'm not gonna put it back together as it is am i.. thats silly!
