Now then, I have always professed to my Selecta being relitivly rust free on body pannels. But then I found this;

I found this behind the wheel arch liner of the front nearside wheel when I removed it to start the rust on and around the wing area which is as follows
Externally;

Interally (under the wheel arch cover;

Now I'm beginning to think that this is going to become a headache (esspecially the root around the end of the sill :bang:
Could I please have some tips on how to sort it, and idea's on different methods of rust treatment for the other area's. I've already got the power sander out and sanded down the metal work, and put rust preventer on it, although it will need another coat because this was done in London last week, and it's rained alot since
Also, I could smell petrol around the charcoal caniter and noticed it looked like I had a leak;

Is this normal? Also the haynes manual reacons its a serviceable part which should be changed. So should it, and should I get a replacement?
Thanks in advanced for all the help guys
