Technical Running a cable from back to front of Bravo

That's cool not big at all,with regards to the connection to reverse light a company selling reverse cameras supply these clips to connect to the cable is this how you would have done it?

Yes, I'd use skotch locks myself (as you've pictured) if used correctly they're the best option.

Regarding routing, pick your side and go along the sills, most of the kick plates yank off from memory and clip back into place after iirc. This'll allow you to secure the wiring with all of the cars wiring harnesses for a neat install with the piece of mind that you won't get any chafing or wires running loose

Works for Fiat Bravo 1.9D M-Jet Update:

Just installed the Reverse camera, took a while where to pull the 12v power from, without taking the reverse light off.

How I did it Tip:

1) Boot Grommet in the rear has a bunch of wires that feed power too the number plate lights and rear reverse light.

2) Spliced black/grey wire to positive of the camera attach the negative to the black wire in the grommet.

3) Camera was attached in between the number plate lights, and all wires where fed through the plastic trim "door sills" .

So now when reverse gear is selected the headunit switches too camera in and the video feed is shown.

Just noticed last night, When switching on the Headlights when Wiring the Reverse Camera seem to have Fused a Number Plate Light Bulb, Now on the dash it requires it to be changed. Will Change it and see if the Number Plate Bulb Works and the "Check Number Plate" Message goes away.

Changed the Number Plate Bulb, And its now working..

However I still get the message on the Dash, Saying "Check Number Plate Light" is their a way to remove that message?

Its safe, but won't do the job if you've got LEDs fitted, you'll need the resistors like swift has posted

I dont have LEDs fitted Its just my standard Bulbs which came with the Car, When I was installing my reverse camera I fused a Bulb, Now I have changed the Bulb with Standard Yellow Factory Fitted Bulb and it seems to be working, But yet it still says on the Dash board, "Check Number Plate Light" But it works fine? Thats why I think I need to remove the Error which is displayed and I thought disconnected the battery will erase the Error.

Turn the lights on to main beam and off again see if that works?

If the error hasn't gone then there is still a fault.

The bulb you've fitted, is it the correct wattage (5 watts iirc). If so then disconnect the camera feed, as this may be causing the issue. Ideally you should be relaying any lighting feed you take as its all canbus controlled and any back feed or interference into the body computer can potentially damage it and the body computer won't be cheap to replace.

Bulb failure warning is self clearing, it always has been. As I said is it the correct wattage bulb you've used as a replacement?

Im not sure on the Wattage to be honest will have a look tomorrow. Number plate Bulb Wattage for the Fiat Bravo is 5watts?

From memory it's 5 watt, but might be worth double checking the handbook.

Ill try to disconnect the power source from the reverse camera and reconnect it and see if the error appears.

Update:

The Dashboard for Check Number Plate Light, Has turned off itself.. However one of my Brake Lights bulbs fused that has been replaced will check tomorrow if the Error messages goes away "Might not be related with each other" , if another bulb fuses out then might have a problem..

I think the red cable is for power one wire is postive and other negative 12v
