Technical Romoving Rocker Cover

I want to remove my rocker cover in order to clean it up a little but, however I'm not sure if this is possible. Would I need to replace any gaskets when I was refitting the rocker cover? Is there anything else I should know before doing this job (other than being _extremely_ careful when the cover is off)?

No need for gaskets,undo the oil cap and the six bolts and its off.

No, the part below that, that would leave the cams exposed. Or am I best to paint that in place (just with lots of masking tape )

I'd paint it in place, the last thing you want is any swarf/grit getting near the internals.

i painted that part below rocket cover. i didn't remove it, used duck tape...

Don't bodge it, remove it and get it coated.

Cover the engine to stop anything getting into the top end.

Its hardly a bodge by not removing the cam housing. You potentially damage the engine for the sake of scrutiny, pointless.

I agree with Richie-guy, take it off it's not hard and your Barchetta will not explode in a ball of flames or anything like that while you do it.
