I might have to start a new thread! I've had a good day so not going to moan too much. Pity about spooks DVD though Any ideas how to speed up my fridge defrosting? Not got a hair drier but at this rate, if i go bed, the water tray will be filled within a few hours and i will get a flood!

My inital go with hot water just increased the puddle problem

Joe, that equation is fine, I understand it completely, the last 2 weeks have been annoying though trying to actually use it with excel, i made so many mistakes! It works now though

get a hot knife and pickaxe your way throught the worst of it, then try and mop up the puddle, put a bowl or container under it, and surround that with towels

lol, i put some hot water into a sprayer and used that, worked a charm

I didn't want to get forceful with it, risk damaging the most useful thing in my room!

It's a metal plate that takes out all the heat, I wouldn't use a knife on a normal ice compartment but this is a different one. It's going nicely now, should have it back on and cool again before the morning
