is this for the central locking?
if so check out the wiring guides in the security section

hi thanks i have already checked them out aND USED THEM TO INSTAL THIS SYSTEM ITS JUST THE RELAY I NEED TO KNOW WHERE THAT GOES

you dont actually "need" the relay, that relay is what cuts the circuit if the alarm is triggered so that the car cuts out, you can tap it into the fuel pump or the coilpack etc,.
One of them yellows on the relay goes to the yellow in the wiring loom you got with the alarm, the other yellow on the relay goes to ground,.
then just find a wire in the coil pack (or wherever) that cuts out the engine when its disconnected,.
when you have one, cut it and attach the 2 loose ends to the green wires on the relay., then when the alarm is active the relay will be open so the car cant start and when it not active the circuit goes back to normal.,.,(y)

im a bit tired at the moment so maybe not very clear.,lol.,
if you need anymore help with it just post back and let us know how you get on.,(y)

ok well if i dont need it then i wont put it on! the only thing is i connected it all up and it still does not work the indicators flash when i press lock/unlock but the doors and things dont open so if you can help me as much as possible i would be grateful! i have looked online to see if i can find a punto 54 active wiring diagram to make sure i had them wired properly! but if you could tell me what colour wires from my system go to what colour wires on my car! would be helpful! basically what i am saying is help me from the start hahaha

what year is your car? and i take it you mean "punto 55"?. or are you talking about the year? if so what year is 54? we dont use all that number stuff.,lol,

The lock and unlock wires are "blue/black" wire for lock and "white" for unlocking.,

you can test them by attaching a spare piece of wire to any ground point and touch the other end off of these wires you should see the door locks opening and closing.,

Now going by your diagram there, you will need to attach the "white" wire from the alarms central locking to the "white" one i described above inside the kick panel in the car.,
then the "white/black" wire from the alarms central locking to the "blue/black" as described above.,.,

Now for the other wires from the alarm.,
the "yellow" and the "yellow/black" must be joined together and grounded just like the main "black" wire from the alarm., theres a good ground point under the kick panel.,
And the "orange" and "orange/black" are not used so just tape them up for the moment.,.
This should help you a bit., once you find the CL wires then it should all be easy for ya then.,.

oh, so its a mk2 then.,.

did you read the bottom part of the guide? where it lists wiring details for other fiats?

this is for your car.,

QUOTE:

12v Battery Constant......................Main live at the steering column
12v ACC ignition-...........................Orange wire
Central locking negitive/lock.............White/Black
Central locking negitive/unlock..........Black/Lightblue
Indicators.....................................Pin k/white
Door pin switch..............................Lightblue/yellow
Boot pin switch..............................grey/black

ok i will try that then! i have to ground the yellow and yellow/black wire with the other ground wire would it be ok to join these two wires halfway up on the ground wire as they are shorter then ground the wire in a suitable polace

where would be a good place to ground a wire? thanks

ok if i connect all the wires that the links you posted say to connect i am l;eft with these 4

a yellow wire (not the one to be grounded) which on the diagram says is an engine power cut off loop - where does this go and is it needed?

an orange wire which is the foot breaking switch - where does this go and is it needed?:

a blue wire which is a negative door triggering - where does this go and is this needed?

a white wire (not the locking wires) which is the acc on wire - where would this go and is this needed? many thanks people for helping out

and what is the best place for grounding the wires in the mk2?

ok is my car a mk2 or a mk3 i have been told its both now so am wondering it is a 2004 fiat punto active 3 doors so is it mk2 or mk 3

ok i have just been told its a mk2b as well

the yellow is for the immobiliser relay, you dont "really" need it.,

Orange, that goes to the switch thats connected to the brake pedal,. theres two wires in it, you need the one that only has current when the pedal is pressed, tap the orange into that wire.,

Blue, goes to the door switches, to the Lightblue/yellow i think(mk1 just for example)

White, goes to the orange wire in the ignition switch loom, this tells the alarm when the car is running so that it doesnt go off when your driving.,

good luck with it.,(y)

ok thanks i have managed to get the central locking working fine and the indicators!
now all i need to do is the alarm

for that i attach my pink wire from my main unit to the alarm then do i connect the o terminal part of the alarm to my battery? thanks ever so much

glad to hear it.,(y)

attaching it to any ground will do., you can attach it to the screw when your mounting the siren in the engine bay, as long as your putting it on metal.,(y)

lol., you mean the siren part?.,
thats what i meant by this.,

Out of interest were these right then?

Central locking negitive/lock.............White/Black
Central locking negitive/unlock..........Black/Lightblue

I'm confused because as I said to you already on my mk2 (52 plate) the wires were white/green and blue/violet respectively... similar but not the same. oh well glad it's working anyway.
