Saw these on ebay,just wondering if anyone knows if they are the correct 36mm psa tb that will fit a 1.1 spi?

Ask the vendor. Th manufacturer is as important -- they need to be marelli/weber rather than Bosch.

dont think there are many cars with the same TB.
try finding a punto 75 tb. but you will need to do some work with a dremal but its worth the effort

Thanks for that,doesnt look like something id be capable of to be honest,i have a small dremel replica,more for polishing and sanding down than anything i think.Is there not an alternative that will go straight on?(guessing not as you went to all that work!).

try it... its easy (mines a cheapo one to). aldi sell a dremal kit for a fiver. comes with a what they call "high speed cutter" it looks like http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/Images/DB_Detail/_72035__95866__.jpg

it EATS the soft alloy like butter... messy as hell but wont take long

Cheers Craig,dont think mine has an attachment like that,might have to find one on ebay.Does it literally not go on the car without the modification?Without one infront of me its hard to picture.

It may be in the guides, but the ones, IIRC, people were using were off Citroen AXs, 36 or 38mm Weber/Marelli ones. If you wait long enough a 40mm tricker will turn up.

Cheers,I keep reading you can take the top off a p75 tb and put the top of your standard one(injector etc still on) onto it.Is that what youre describing in your blog?Or is that something different.

the 75 is mpi engine while your engine is spi.
the tb altho the same fitment does not have the top half with a injector.

the top of the standard tb will fit onto the 75 tb but it willl be very restricted without removing some metal.

the original tb has a tapered bore... the 75 does not.

you could go for the 32mm TB off a spi punto, you could hav to measure hte TB to make sure you got the correct one as some have the same as the cinq (30mm)
