General Reversing Camera

Just fitted a wireless reversing camera just wondering where the best place at the front to pick up a reversing live wire from for the monitor been looking at the fuse box.

When I fitted one it was the camera that needed the reverse live, this then transmitted to the monitor, which only need a live (or cigar socket)

I wanted it on the reverse live so it's only live when its in reverse.

Can you find the reversing switch on the gearbox? The switched side if that might be easier?

The best way is to use the live feed going to the reverse lightbulb in the rear light cluster............simples

Unless it's like mine, and the Reversing Light refuses to work . . .

I've been thinking about doing this to mine for ages, got a Camera and Monitor years ago to play with, but there's always something more important to fix . . .

Found a white wire in the fuse box tested with my meter only live when in reverse will break into that, didn't want take a wire all the way from the back under the carpets.

I presume it's not the only White Wire under there Carl?
If not, can you tell us exactly which one it is (any 'trace' colour?), or better yet, post a pic?

I will take photo when my monitor comes while I am fitting it it was a red and white multiplug near the fuses on the leftside
