We I turn the fan on in my bravo it is fine on no 1, (2 + 3 make something in the passanger footwell area vibrate) and it is fine on no 4 aswell. This leads me to believe that it is something that is just vibrating at certain frequencies and makes a horrible noise. It also makes this noise to certain frequencies of bass from the stereo. Just sounds like something is either lose or rattling. Any ideas guy's??????

Thanks in advance

If i was you i'd begin at looking inside the area where the pollen filter goes.

Open bonnet, on the black scuttle panel under the window you'll see an access panel held in place by two screws (passenger side). Undo them and withdraw the small panel. You will now see a square opening to the fan, if you have a pollen filer it will sit above it so you'll need to remove it. Check inside the hole to make sure there no leaves or rubbish in there. Mine had leaves which i removed by hand and then a vacuum cleaner.

Oh it may need lubricating aswell, or the bearings gone in it. Best to source another from a scrapper or buy it new for guarantee that it works.

had this

I had this

Was the interior fan that was done in.

Cost abou 100quid for a new one fitted

problem disappeared.

Try the other things mentioned first mind.

Happens at this time of year due to motor being cold when first starting.

Do you find it "goes away" once car is warmed up?
