Hi guys, so bacially I have taken off the vacuum control module today as there was a big split in the diaphragm, I will be putting on the new one tomorrow, but before I do I am just have a little advice. The old module took some getting off, I took off the dizzy cap, rotor arm etc to get to where the module is attached, not sure if it's a problem or not but the advance control moved quite a lot while I was trying to remove the module, do I now need to do the timing as this may have put the timing out, or can I simply just attach the VCM back onto the clip inside the dizzy?

Thanks in advance :)

It would be a good idea to recheck the timing. Theoretically, nothing should have changed, but a minor discrepancy in the length of the vac unit arm will change things.

I seem to remember that the timing is set with the vac pipe removed and plugged.

Thanks Bill, I was also thinking when the new vacuum module is in place and attached, theoretically the timing control will be in the same place as when I removed the old module.
