Hi peeps,

Had to remove the bleed screw on the radiator today because I suspected a slight airlock in the system, fingers crossed I’ve sorted that,

My problem is I need to get a new bleed screw,

Somebody must of replaced the fiat one before I owned the car because it’s only a screw driver type one not the spanner head one, Does anybody no what size these screws are?

I’ve tried eBay, google and can’t even get any info on it,

I’ve managed to put the old one back on for now but it’s slightly damaged the plastic head on it so I need to get it replaced

I have no idea why Fiat used a plastic screw on that part, which will be opened every 2-3 years according to their scheduled maintenance :p It only survives max 3 openings, after which it is just a stripped piece of plastic even when you are careful.

If I remember well I had to use a 13mm ring spanner to open mine (plastic), so that would be 8mm thread ...

BRs, Bernie.

Thanks guys, I no it’s not ideal but I managed to get a Genuine fiat good condition used One, not ideal but it will do,

Use a socket on the screw and you shouldn't have problems with damaging it
Using a socket would require removing the entire front bumper, though.

You can reach it with a ratchet wrench, but still, it is plastic and will wear fairly quickly.

Didn't they used plastic to avoid electrolytic corrosion ? IMO a nylon replacement screw would do the job and probably last longer.
