Technical Replacing Ball Joints & Bushes?

I'm at a stage where I need new bushes and ball joints on my front wishbones.

The wishbones usually come as a complete unit, but I have also found all the bushes and the ball joints separate.

So, firstly, will I need a press or vice to get the new bushes in?

Also, how hard is it to replace the ball joints, will I need any specific tools?

Replace the hole arm, their as cheap as chips. Even if you where Poly bushing them its best to use new arms as they rust just as well as the rest of the car.

Cheers, I thought as much.

Can get new complete arms for just under £35 each, but new bushes and ball joints come in a fair bit cheaper...

I have to do the repairs on the drive, so whole arms would make life simpler!

Does anyone know if the arms come with the outer roll bar bush, or if I need to order it separately?

They don't come with anti roll bar bushes, Powerflex do them for about £15 a pair. And you'll get the arms a lot cheaper if you shop about

Are all the wishbones the same for all engine sizes?

Just bought the new wishbones, and all anti-roll bar bushes. Also got new strut top mounts...

Hopefully the bits will be arriving this week!
