Technical replacement starter no solenoid

ok here it goes bought a replacement starter motor from a certain parts website when it arrived i noticed there was no solenoid wire attached. is it possible to take the wire from the old one and fit it to the new one. any help would be very much appreciated

stick to the standard forum preset

Also
there should be only 1 type of starter for the punto
A pre-engaged starter

Or am on the wrong end of the stick
Ie the solenoid has been removed from donor one?

Lol cheers ziggy no idea if its pre engaged as never had to deal with a starter prob on a punto took a few pics tho of the donor part

that looks about right for a punto starter, ive changed these a few times myself and they look like that, so what you waiting for? get it fitted

Remove all the wires off it and get it in
The larger can is the motor with permanent magnets by looks
The smaller can is the solenoid / actuator that makes the pinion engage before spinning (hence pre-engaged)
