General Replaceing gear stick gaiter

Hi all, first post so please bear with if in wrong section etc.. I want to change the gaiter on the gear stick and the new one comes with a velcro opening. Does this mean I do not need to take the gear knob off to replace? Thank you. Jackie

Yes. Open up de velcro and try getting it over de gearknob.
