Hiya, any help please,, hehe ive got around £1500 together for an engine to be put in my sei, and wanted to know the biggest TURBO block i can get in, eg - civic N/A engine tho, GT5t etc....

have u seen the size of your engine bay???

You have to think about the size of the bay rather than the engine size itself!

Theresas cinq with the 1.4 turbo unit is currently at approx 120bhp, which is bloody chuffing fast!! But that has had, time, money, and a whole lot of dedication for it to be at the stage it is in now!

If your thinking of doing the turbo conversion, id be prepared for a lot of graft, and dwindling funds if theresas is anything to go by! The results can be amazing, but it isnt gona be a case of puttin engine in and away you go!

im trying to keep up with my mates 2ltr turbo corsa... i know i aint ever fitting a 2ltr in a fiat, but i wanted to push more than 150brake.... hm got me thinking to scrap the car and look at a punto...

..surely a Cento with over 150bhp would be... A) Very very costly to get that power figure B) Not the most reliable thing going C) Undrivable with the power it would have, a proper scary experience lol

my mates corsa is scary to drive, but not if driven safly.. thats over 320 bhp, but its really mod'ed.... 2litre novas are the worst cars lol, couldnt see a sei being too scary, aslong as you stick to 5mph around corners lol

320bhp Corsa?

yep, its a 2ltr turbo out of a rover vitess (think thats what its called), Super chipped, bored, induction etc.... rolling road'ed @320bhp, but will be more as a few bits need iorning out, but it dont half fly!! Gets hot quick tho!

If you want that sort of speed then you dont want a sei.

why buy a slow car if you want a fast car? if you know what your doing then fair enough as you can do conversions yourself and make it a hobby etc but why spend thousands and thousands getting a garage to do it when you can spend less just gettign a car that comes with the power and can handle it etc.

That is the one in the old mans car, a posh 800 i believe, reliable but poor economy!!! not one of rovers best engines!

Mines currently at 132 bhp and it makes for a very rapid motor.my mate has a 2 litre corsa which is the gold one on the cover of Total Vauxhall this month.

As soon as mines running properly (again) we will go head to head on the strip :D

Ive taken my mate out in it and he reckons there aint much between the two.

Il keep you posted (y)

if you fancy spending stupid money why not do something noone has ever done in a cinq and do a rear wheel drive conversion an mount something stupid in the back (y)

Give MJS a call 01473 212594 and have a rear engined cinq with RS TURBO running gear.
Thats what my bloke wanted me to do but i wasnt keen on the idea.
