just got my stilo, whats the best way to remove a scratches from the paintwork??

Theres one where the last owner must have key'd the door around the lock when opening it, its right down to silver!!! :(

Bog Standard Fiat Stilo 1.2 16 valve Active, in Sexual Rouge, el plastique rimolla's!! ;)

On a similar note, anyone dealt with light scratches on glass!?

Some inconsiderate bird cacked all over my windscreen, and it was full of tiny stones, which i never realised until i wiped the windscreen. :(

Handy hint about paintwork. Use a felt tip pen close to the colour of your car. It works a treat until you get it sorted properly.

T-Cut scratch remover is bad, I used it on my old Brava, it is too abrasive, avoid! Just go to your local Chips Away depot, they can remove any scratch or dent for between £50-£80 in less than an hour, our local one even comes to your home and does it on your drive.

If the scratch is down to bare metal then a Halfords chip/scratch repair kit will do the job. Put some Kurust on first if it's been there for a while.
You can get glass polish that will take out small scratches and chips.

im gonna wash it and hopefully wax it this week (its first wash), and then when im finished that ill have an idea of where all the scrathes may be lurking.
Then ill contact DentMaster and get them taken out.
Dont fancy ruining my car by trying to remove em myself, but i might try a light scratch remover.

GO TO YOUR LOCAL DEALER FOR A TOUCH UP KIT, CHEAPER THAN HALFORDS AND THE ,ATCH SHOULD BE PRETTY GOOD TOO.

un believeable, the previous owner painted their house and theres white flecks of gloss paint in several places on the bonet and wings... how do i remove them?? not turpentine or white spirits anyways!!!!

Meguiars do a product called Scratch-X and it's something like eight quid and is very good (Assumin the scratch ain't too deep!!)
I use Meguiars Gold class polish on my car and I have to say that it's fantastic stuff!!
Have a look at their website for more info - www.meguiars.co.uk

Good luck

Nick

I had white paint splashed specks on my Punto... I used MER on it and it took them off no problems... did take a while to get all the small specks off tho!
