Our Punto SX 75 fuel filter is leaking from corrosion on the main body. Bought a new push-fit one, but having trouble pulling the pipes off the old one. They turn freely, and have grey-white clippy things pon both pipes. Tried squeezing in the proud things that look like squeeze tabs, but thus far haven't risked pulling too hard.
How am I supposed to get the old filter off? Just pull a lot harder than I have been, or is there a special tool/technique?
Thanks.

no, you dont just pull it. yes you need to squeeze in the clips maybe use a screwdriver. they are very fragile. be careful too as the petrol that is sitting in the filter will run out of it.

Many thanks - I did try gently with pliers, but there didn't seem to be enough movement in the tabs. I'll try again squeezing a little harder, but bearing in mind the fragility warning.
