I have decided to ignore the rumbling sound from my drivetrain and get on with some of the aesthetics that have been annoying me for a while, first on the list are the wing mirrors...

The lacquer has peeled from the top 1/2 of the wing mirrors where water has got in between the paint and the lacquer. I have managed to remove all of the losse lacquer but am having a real struggle removing the stuff that is still bonded to the paint. I was going to try paint remover but this will damage the plastic of the wing mirror housing so was thinking that maybe brake fluid would be the way forward?

Anyone had to do this before? Any suggestions?

take sand paper and :tosser:. that's the best solution...

:D

Wet N Dry is your only option. Your paint is Water based Hence Lacquer. A better way than the old way.

The higher the number on the back of the paper the finer. Start at 1800 and work slowly, get finer as you finish. Get some T-Cut for the final smoothness...

Good luck.(y)
