removing headlights

I have a mk2 punto and it is suffering with the what seems common damaged/frosted over headlight covers. I was trying to get one off the other day to try spliting it but couldnt manouvre it off.

It looks to me that the only way you can remove them is by removing the bumper!! As the headlight seems to go down behind the bumper.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of that thread mate. Had a go at them today and made a big difference
