How see pic, am in an awful pickle!
hi guys . i have a similar problem had the blower on full the other day first time out for a while anyway went to turn it off & it stayed on full . stopped for fuel & the heater is now 0 is 2* 1 is 3 * 2 is 0Hi, so just to confirm, the switch unit is floating free in the void but there seems to be no way to extract it without much more major surgery. Can someone say one way or the other? At least then I could carry on with some more confidence. The blower was staying on full regardless of switch position, have pulled out the connector and can control the speed by shorting across the contacts.
hi . thanks for that thought as much so ordered one this morning ebay £ 32 coming Thursday & a pollen filter as well while i am in the same spot only a few more screws if it was the resister i would have just got full speed all the time me thinks  . judThe switch is duff. If you have a meter put it on continuity between the chassis and fan motor negative. Measure the resistance in each switch position, What do you get? On OFF you should get open circuit and on 4 you should get short circuit with various decreasing values for 1,2, & 3.
