Technical Removing a factory body Stripe?

Hi, does anyone know the best method to succesfully remove the nasty stripe you get on some Cinq's? eg Black Cinq with a thin red stripe on both sides of the car.

Is it a decal? and is it easiy removed, because i think it ruins the whole look of the car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you would have to be careful removing that. probably would have to use a hairdryer and it would most likely come of in bits with being baked on by years of sun.
other problem is if the paint has faded underneath(more than likely) as you will end up with a darker stripe.
on one of my sportings there an unleaded only sticker that looks like its been laquered on to the shell so ive just left it till i can get respray cash together

the unleaded sticker isnt lacquered on.. just get it off with a hairdryer

might leave it anyway for now.just couldnt feel any 'edge' on it. plus getting power out to my car from 3 floors up aint easy

i just peeled my unleaded sticker off then polished it

nah i was just out at the car(measuring for some meshing action ) and the sticker is smooth down on the edges. might try a little probing with a blade to see what happens

i took mine off as soon as on my cinq

hairdryer is the best method - just peels back, then give it a good clean and polish
