Technical Remove rear door windows ?

It's' my thread, and I like it... :D

dig deep down and pull out the italian stallion inside you.

M.

Oi you leave my stallion alone I might be 60 but its still in use..[christmas and bank holidays].:( :p
The next owner of the PNL pimp mobile did the tints on it I guess you saw that tho in a previous thread with ebay link attached..3drs are easy 5drs are more of a challenge as you know and the coolest to own..one query tho how has your insurance gone down when it goes up when its done over here..

Gm.. how much of price hike can one expect? i've put 40% semi-mirrored tints throughout (the sunnier it is the more of an effect) before the new law restricting front to <10% was introduced (but have not informed me insurance company.. they didn't ask on renewal..)

Haha. Didn't mean your mighty stallion down beneath. More the spiritual one inside you. Good to know though, that I (hopefully) have over 30 years of fun to go.

Insurance goes up for you as the UK is full of chavs. :p

The tint is theft preventive, as you can't see what's inside the car. It also laminates the glass, so it takes more time to remove. This is also safer, as the window will not shatter in a crash. Loads of plusses here - to get lower insurance..

we all have something to hide ;)
Yes; but if the insurance company aren't going to pay out (they love to find reasons not to) then is there any point in paying for it in the 1st place :chin:

After all - tints are going to be very obvious even after a crash - and you can be pretty sure the Police will notice too :(

Hey Mort,

How much of the window glass is not showing from under the rubber seal along the top of the door, As i want to get the rear doors done on the multiwagon but will pay somebody to do it, The last ones he did he cut them to size for the rear most side windows and rear windscreen and they look the bee's knees so am wondering if he would take them out as well.

I've not done anything illegal (tints were installed before this new law was introduced they are legal – at best police can advise me to remove em). Insurance would still pay up 3rd party fire n theft (though it’s covered fully comp - my poor stilo's been living outside on London streets.. it's bashed up to a point where it has no value at all) Besides we all know insurance is a rip-off (i've been paying 9 years now.. in that time i've claimed 800 quid and paid about 6000.. and that single claim was due to being hit by an uninsured driver).. So there is no way i’m going to voluntarily give a reason to charge me more...

It's got the shape of your girlfriends underwear - if she wears hotpants. Curved cuts at each lower corner. At least 5 cm (2") is below the outer weather strip if I remember correctly. I will try to do the other side next weekend, and can take measures then. And provide a guide when I have enough time.

Hehe. The blinds are uniqe. You take away the sun and heat, but in addition you let air in and mosquitos out. (y)

But I prefer the tint - as you know...

:worship: I love you, finally somebody with some sense. Boycot the blinds lol.

Also whats this about 10% tint laws in the UK. I have 30% over the standard tint and its insured, MOT'd and been seen by Plod when i have been pulled. Its all a myth, as long as you can see the driver if you look hard your fine.

If you have over the regulated tint on your car then i think you are very lucky indeed to be getting away with it..when I used to take my pimp mobile out the gents in blue were on me like a flash followed me for miles for no reason despite the fact I was at that time a 58 year old chav with my base ball cap on backwards didnt go down at all..if I had tinted the car I know I would have been pulled for sure so I didnt do it I can only say that in your case you are very lucky or maybe they are asleep on the job or cant be arsed to do the paper work or you are sharing your body..;)

Boy Oh Boy! Some people love to delude themselves.

If it ever does come to the crunch then the only person you need convince is the magistrate (who's decisions can be somewhat arbitrary).
